Souvenly transmits the one photo you select, in order to transform it, and deletes that photo within seconds of the artwork being produced. There is no account to create, no email address to give, and nothing you photograph is used to train anything. Souvenly also records limited first-party product interaction events, described below, without your photo or anything you type.
Using Souvenly without an account
Souvenly does not require an account. Everything works without one, and nothing about the app is gated behind signing in.
When you create a keepsake, the photo you chose is uploaded to our server, sent to the image model that redraws it, and deleted as soon as the artwork exists. If you typed a place or a date, they are sent to the image model with it, because some styles draw them into the artwork. The finished artwork is stored so the app can fetch it, and the place you typed is kept with the record of that creation; both are deleted from our storage thirty days after it is made. Your notebook itself stays on your device.
Signing in with Apple
If you choose Sign in with Apple, we ask Apple for nothing but a confirmation that it is you — no name, no email address. Apple does not share your email address with us, and there is no password for us to hold.
Signing in exists for one reason: so that your notebook and your credits reach a new phone even when you set it up from scratch rather than restoring a backup.
What is stored once you sign in
- Your keepsakes. The artwork Souvenly made for you is kept in our storage so it can be restored onto another device. It is readable only by your own account.
- Your notebook’s details. Which keepsakes are in it, the place and date you typed, the line you wrote for a place, and the way you arranged the page.
- Your credit balance and subscription, held by our payments provider against your account rather than against one device.
Your original photograph is not among them. It is uploaded only to be transformed and is deleted within seconds of the artwork being produced — the same as it has always been, signed in or not.
If you never sign in, none of the above is kept: your notebook stays on your device, and your artwork and the place you typed are deleted from our storage thirty days after they are made.
Product analytics
Souvenly records a small set of first-party product events so we can see where the app is confusing or failing. These events include app launches, onboarding progress, photo-picker and style selections, creation outcomes and approximate duration ranges, paywall views, purchase outcomes, and save or share actions. They are stored by our existing Supabase backend against Souvenly’s internal user identifier.
Analytics events never contain your photograph, a link to it, the place or date you type, captions, notes, or the artwork itself. We do not use these events for advertising, combine them with activity from other apps or websites, or give them to an advertising analytics provider.
Who we share data with
These are the only services that receive anything, and this is everything they receive.

We do not sell your data, and we do not share it for advertising. Souvenly contains no advertising and no third-party tracking.
Removing something, or everything
Removing a page from your notebook removes it from your account too — the copy in our storage is deleted, and it will not reappear on another device.
If you signed in, Settings → Delete account removes everything in one step: your Apple sign-in, your notebook backup, every stored image, and every keepsake on the phone itself. It also removes the product analytics associated with Souvenly’s internal user identifier. It cannot be undone, and the app asks you to confirm before it runs.
You can also write to souvenly1@gmail.com from the device you use Souvenly on, including your Support ID (Settings → Support ID), and we will do the same. Purchases and subscriptions are held by Apple and are managed from your Apple account.
Children
Souvenly is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect anything from them. If you believe a child has sent us a photo, write to souvenly1@gmail.com and we will delete it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what we hold about you, to have it corrected, or to have it deleted. The Delete account button does the last of those immediately; for anything else, write to souvenly1@gmail.com with your Support ID and we will answer within thirty days.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in a way that affects what leaves your device, we will update the date at the top of this page and say so in the app before the change takes effect.
